Samsung Tizen Z2 is a smartphone powered by Samsung’s developed OS, Tizen. Z2 series was available only in India and Indonesia. Thus, for the Indonesia version, Samsung wanted to have themes, wallpapers, and icons specially made for the Indonesia market.

The first theme inspired by Indonesia’s cultural heritage. The illustration contains mixes of two types of batik fabric patterns: Megamendung and Pekalongan. Gunungan from the traditional Javanese shadow puppet also added to the design.

The second theme inspired by Indonesia’s wildlife diversity. The animals and flora in the design were those that only exist in Indonesia: Orangutan, Javan Rhinoceros, Bird of Paradise, and Rafflesia Arnoldii flower.

Samsung Tizen Z2 also preinstalled with wallpapers based on a national holiday in Indonesia. The country has six official religions, which inspired seven out of eleven designs. Pancasila days is the birthday of Pancasila, the state ideology of Indonesia. The rest of the wallpapers inspired by global celebrations that we all love, like Valentine’s day and new year’s eve.
